Well, the year is almost at an end and that saddens me in many ways, yet makes me happy in many others.  I will miss these students so much!  They have been such a delight.  But I am also very happy with all they have learned this year and what they have taught me.  They are truly treasures in my heart!

We have finished up our unit on space, and it was terrific! We are moving toward our exams in 2 weeks, so we have a lot to review.  We also have our 2 field trips coming up, so there is still a lot to come for the end of our year.

The new school calendar has been selected by the school board, and we are going to have a modified 9-1 and 9-2 calendar for the next school year.  Be sure to check it out at the county website:  www.sumnerschools.org

Please feel free to email me with any questions you might have or call the school (452-9100), leave a message for me and I will return your call.   If you are the parent of one of my sixth graders, please be sure I have your email address.  I like to email parents weekly with what is happening in Science that week.   I can let you know about homework, tests, projects, and anything else that is coming up at school. It is a wonderful way for us to stay in constant communication.  I can also respond quickly to any questions or concerns you may have.

If you returned your permission note,  I have links on the side menu so that you may link to the appropriate class period for your student and check their grades.  If you would like your student’s grades included, please send a permission note and I will add them to the online grades.  I will update grades each week so that you may always know your student’s average in Science.
